EXPERIENCE ONLINE GAMING AS IT SHOULD BE
The Official Excaliburwow Pvp Association brings you the very first 3vs3 league ever held on this server! Only the best cyberathlete-teams will be allowed to compete in this highskilled league filled with massacre, freaking spectators and stunning prices! Are you ready to fight your way to the top in order to become the first Excalibur champion?

Requirements and global rules:
Any of these rules can be updated at all times, and they are expected to be known to all who compete.
*only lvl65-70
*only allowed to join 1 team(we can check this)
*horde and alliance can team up
*only 3players in a team, however you may use all your lvl65+ characters in this team.
*Season 1 starts 19th of April and ends the 30th of June. However there will be a small intermezzo, given the fact that there are exams coming up for the most of us. More info about this soon.
*More teams can join during the season, they will start with 0pts but will still be able to gain pts and become 1st.
*Winning a match will result in 3point added to your team, the referee will make sure this is reported and updated often enough. Losing a match will grant your team 1point. However, if your team often declines challenges by other teams, you will lose points (in order to give the other teams a chance to mount in the ladder)
*The competition will be ladder-based, winning earns points- the more you play, the more points you can get.
*The season is led by referees: these are GMs who accepted to be referee (which will cost them a lot of time), so they deserve your respect. If one of them is helping player or even raiding etc., dont expect them to come and play referee just because you want to play. They still want to have fun in this game, just as you, so dont overwhelm them.
*Current Referees are: Stormeken, Sevar

Reward for all who played a reasonable amount of matches: announced soon

Combat rules:
*If you found a opponent and wish to play a match, you wait for a referee to come online and ask him/her on the Season-channel. If he accepts, you make a party with your pvpteam and make sure your opponents do the same.
*The referee will teleport you to a arena in either nagrand/blade edge with your team. You will be teleported in a corner of the arena, you do not move until the referee gives the signal to start. However you may ofcourse start buffing eachother etc.
*When the referee blows the whistle, you may engage eachother. The referee will be overlooking the scene during the battle.
*When you die, you do not revive and wait for the round to finish. At the end of the round the referee will revive all players and you go and stand back in the corner of the arena.
*Every match counts 3rounds. If a team has won 2, you may choose to end the match, seeing as the winner is known already. However you can play the 3th round if you wish ofcourse.
*At the end of the match, the referee will teleport all of the players to Shattrath City.
*Same teams can only play eachother once a day.
*Use of know bugs (in favor of the one that uses it) in order to gain benefit is strictly forbidden.
*Use of potions/scrolls/... is allowed
*If the server crashes during a round, the round will be replayed (unless it is caused by one of the players on purpose)
*Lag will not result in a roundreplay: if only you are lagging its your own fault, if everyone is lagging its still fair.
*Referees have the final word in any discussion. Unforseen events are also to be judged by them and they choose what they do with it. If you have a problem with this, you can always leave the league. If you dont wish to do that, accept their authority.
*Shortlist of possible punishments/sanctions: forced inactivity period for the team, removal of a player from the league, removal of a team from the league, ... Referees will discuss which punishments is best used.

Application:
*If you meet the requirements, team up with 2 of your mates, assign a team leader
*Teamleader posts a reply here with the team name and 3 players+their alts (65+) - mention class and race

I don't fully understand does this mean Arena is working but only in 3v3 formaat?
Or is is this just an organized world pvp event held in world arena's like STV or nagrand

it will end 30th of June, but it will start soon. (like in a week, if enough people start teams, which im still waiting for)
GMs will be referee and they will teleport you to the arena, where you can fight it out (and gain points for the rankings)
So the arenas arent working yet, but this way you will get the best pvparena-feeling we can offer at the moment

I have a problem with this...Becuz players with certain professions would gain an advantage over others. Or players that kept quest items like sleep powder etc. Please act professional and forbid items in arena

In retail you CANT use any items quest or created in arena except, for created items like engineering boots, belt or class created items like healtstone

if you dont want people to gain advantages with their professions, i should forbid pots, enchanted items, created items, ... these professions were made so you can take advantage of them. By the way, the advantage they get isnt that big: the pots they use themselves, cant be sold to others, making them less money... And people who dont have alchemy/herbalism can always buy some from their guildmates or on the worldchannel.
Another argument is that it seems nearly impossible to me to be overlooking the fights as referee, and to check if none of the six players is using pots.

So I'm sorry, I'm afraid to pots will have to stay, unlike on offi.

I dont mean health potion i agree with you these are a minor consurn
What i mean is a druid drinking free action pot and becoming immune to any stun or slow effect making rogues/mages/warriors useless....so a healer with alchemy has 1000000times the advantage over a normaal healer without free action pot

There is a reason items are not allowed in arena the balance in pvp in wow is far from perfect. I respect you desicion and if you want me to stop “whining about the issue im having then just say.
But ill try to make my point with a few expamples (i my self have engineering as prof in wow)


Frost Grenades
Use: Blasts enemies for 75 to 125 Frost damage and freezes them in place for up to 5 sec. Damage caused may interrupt the effect.Cooldown: 1 min .

Well frost mages have 60% more crit when their target are frozen. so a enigeerer mage is stronger then a normaal (becuz frost nova has a 21 sec cooldown and frostbite has to procs and these grenades you can trow any time) i mean thats killing balance

Arcane bomb
Drains 675 to 1125 mana from those in the blast radius and does 50% of the mana drained in damage to the target. Also Silences targets in the blast for 5 sec.

A rogue with this has 5 sec more silence then a normaal rogue.

This will make a alchemy healer 30 sec not croud controlable i dont have to explain wich advantage that will give to a team
Use: Makes you immune to Stun and Movement Impairing effects for the next 30 sec. Does not remove effects already on the imbiber.


But what ever ....but plz give me a fast response so i can go lvl my alchemy

first of all, a druid can escape slowing effects anyway by shapeshifting. But that isnt your point tongue.gif

In my opinion, the profession is part of your character. If you have a profession that gives you benefit in Pvp, i think you have a better pvpcharacter. Just like you can use your talent points to either improve your pvp or improve pve.

im not saying you have a point, because you do, but I dont see myself being able to check pots being used or not in a fast-paced battle with 6 players. And that is still the main argument for me: if I allow this, I avoid loads of nagging in the future. However I like it when people give their opinions (before the 19th of April that is), so I may improve some of the rules. But I dont think this one will change. If it turns out some players have an unreasonable benefit, which I dont expect, I might change it mid-season (but that is probably not going to happen.)

ty for your reply and you can check a battle with certain addons i can find these for you if you want + the players can read back their combat log for pot/item use.(you can make a combat log 10x times longer with Chataddon)

A druid can idd break movement imp effects with shape shift BUT with free action pot he is also immune to stun...
Priest immune to stun = imba....

Prof are made to have an advantage idd BUT there like steroids if you use them in your own time or in random events ( BG's) Nobody cares but. If you would use steroids in a foot ball match you will get kicked out becuz things are at stake there(arena)
