AvalonRO exercises a "good faith" practice. This means any situation that is deemed inappropriate, disrespectful and illegal; that is NOT listed on this rules list is still subject to an Administrative decision for action. This clause also covers any loopholes found in the rules that is still deemed illegal by a GM.

Avalon RO Rules:

These rules, if broken, will get you jailed. Some might even get you banned/IP banned. Rules may be added with the arrival of new problems without notice, so check back occasionally.

General Rules:

1. Do not spam text, trades or skills in towns or in the Market Place. Using creation skills in towns is allowed, but try to stay away from the center of the town.

2. No chats on the white streets of Prontera or on the main NPC area of Payon and keep your chatrooms away from NPC's (3 spaces away).

3. Respect the staff and the decisions of the staff. If you come to a disagreement, try to talk it out.

4. No bots or any other 3rd party program are to be used.

5. Do not abuse bugs, contact a GM if you find one. Post it along with details in the Bugs section of AvalonRO's forums.

6. Verbal harassment of players and staff will not be tolerated.

7. No kill stealing. Please note that in the case of someone using Basilica on an MVP monster in order to interrupt a battle, this is considered an act of kill stealing, abuse of game mechanics, and physical harassment, and will not be taken lightly.

8. This is an English based server. We tolerate other languages in public chat, but we assume that you understand English and understand the rules. Using ignorance of the English language as an excuse for breaking rules will not be tolerated.

9. Items, zeny, experience, levels or pets lost in disconnections or due to bugs will not be replaced.

10. No advertising of any other private servers will be tolerated.

11. No between game trading (ex.: Trading items for items on another Game).

12. No trading accounts/items/zeny for Real Money (in any currency), exchange of services or virtual items. This will not be tolerated.

13. Do not make character names, guilds, guild titles, pets or homunculus with offensive words.

14. Do not have "GM" in your name or guild title. Ex.: GM-Killjoy, KilljoyGM. Game Masters will NEVER have GM in their name. Beware of scammers!

15. Impersonating a GM, even as a joke, will result in all accounts under the IP of the impersonator being banned. (Impersonating : Creating a characters with a similar name of any GM/DEV/ADMIN). Also, privacy is important. In case you know one of the GM's legit names, do NOT spread it around.

TAKE NOTE:
Any Player level 240+ cannot report for HarassmentPK (Player Killing Rule #1).
Screenshots that are edited in ANY way are invalid for any report.



Player Killing Rules:

1. HarassmentPK: When a Character is killed 5 (five) times in succession by the same opposing Character within a 20 minute time-frame. To prove this in reports, you must include minimum 5 (five) screenshots with the cursor over the Character who PK'd you showing their name within the same time/date and/or the PvP Statistics in your dialog box.

2. No Resurrection killing will be tolerated. This includes getting Resurrected by one Character and PK'd by another. The time limit between Resurrection and getting killed by a player is 30 seconds.

3. Using characters below level 55 to help in PvP, abusing the fact that they can not be attacked, will not be tolerated. This applies even in WarZones.

A WarZone is a PvP map that has no PvP rules on it. Anything PvP-wise goes and reports involving these maps are invalid.



Vending Rules and TradeChat Rules:

1. Do not vend outside of the Market Place.

2. Do not set up ANY Tradechats outside of the Market Place (ex.: BRB T>GR 4Zeny/HB L/N/O).

3. False Advertising/Scamming (i.e. "CLIP[2]" and only having Clip[1] for sale) will not be tolerated.

Market Place NPC's are located in the main towns (i.e. Prontera, Payon)



Dead Branch and Bloody Branch Rules:

1. Do not use any Dead Branches or Bloody Branches in the same screen as an NPC.

2. If a Player dies while DB/BB, the monsters become FFA (Free For All). This includes MvPs.

FFA = Free For All. A monster that is described as FFA is free for any player to take. MvPs that spawn naturally (not from BB or MVP Arena) are considered FFA.



MvP Arena Rules:

1. Do not loot or kill steal in the MvP arena.

2. Move your MvP out of the center once you summon so that others may summon. This prevents MvP's crossing paths and accusations of kill stealing.

3. Do not summon multiple MvP's. One MvP per person.

4. Do not go AFK in the arena or join the MvP arena if you are not there to summon. The MvP arena is for summoners only. Those who idle will be removed.

5. If you die or leave the arena after a summon and it still lives, the MvP no longer becomes yours. The MvP will belong to the first player who wishes to claim it. You can politely asked that the MvP be returned to you if it is still alive if you come back, however taking it by force would be an act of kill stealing.

6. Concerning Thanatos Tower's last level, there are 5 seals in the map. In case of disagreements as to who has the right to kill the Thanatos monster, the party with the most seals broken are the legitimate owners. Also by seals we meant the Seals of Agony, Hatred, Sorrow, Despair and the Seal of Thanatos itself.

Internet Cafe's/Account sharing

Should a player of a cafe:

1. Be hacked by means of key logger on the same cafe

2. Account Share

3. Access another NetCafe members account without permission

We will not offer any support what-so-ever in dealing with the above.



Always remember, if you're not sure if something is wrong or not, theres a good chance that its not. Always PM a GM if you are never sure if what you want to do is illegal or not. Common sense is your friend as are the advice of other players.
