AvalonRO Developer Application Options

AvalonRO is recruiting developers! We need developers for scripting, SQL management/editing, projects, and more. If you feel like you're up to it, please read this and fill out the quote below:

1. It is necessary to have working knowledge of scripting in eAthena. It is also necessary to have a good understanding of how to run a server (conf files, databases, etc).
2. We ask that you be available as much as possible. If we notice that you are neglecting your responsibility towards the server, you will be removed without warning.
3. When you're chosen as a developer, your GM rights will be given after you have completed time as a Sub Developer. If your goal is to jail people, and enforce rules, do not post here.
4. Speaking English is required. This does not mean however, that we are not looking for people that speak other languages as well. In many scenarios a second or third language can be very beneficial.
5. Unlike the GM application, we do not have an age requirement. However, we ask that you be of a mature nature, in a professional manner for the job. Specific rules or further details will be provided upon entry into the position.

If you do not apply to any one of these, you may still post, but please state which one (if multiple, say) you do not fit under.

Note: A good, working knowledge of C is a plus!

Have you had previous development experience on a RO server: No. I've applied before and made a test. I did pass, but the script "lacked criativity". That was long ago, but that kind of work is not why I am here. I wish to work on the eye candy department.

I've made tiny tweaks to the client, such as editing clown songs so they won't overlap when played in succession, or the sound effects on some skills. I also have extense knowledge of the RO game itself. About 6 years into Ragnarok Online, 5 of them here.

Any other notes: Due to certain circunstances, I don't have any daily activities. I get to do as I please for most of the day, and I choose to fill that time with games, mostly with RO. I would say that a developer must have the three, why? Because a developer should be creative, smart, be patient and write their stories for to each of his quest, making a work funny, being an artist, a writer, and have knowledge of a coder to do it all! why you are a artist and you dont have brushes? such as an artist must also be a coder and writer :3

I am fun to be around and easy to get along with. I am very passionate about my work and will devote my time and effort into finishing whatever projects assigned to me, I will never leave anything half done. I have enjoyed playing on Avalon for about two years now, and in becoming so interested in this game, went on to build and run my own server for private use. Through all this, I was able to learn a lot more about RO and how it works. I would love to have the opportunity to help with the development of Avalon.

There are a lot of things that I need to remember to finish the job, and sometimes it gets confusing. Errors are also frustrating at times, but at least they're always fixable.

Medium/Advanced, I know most of the server and client side commands, and I can write custom NPCs, items, monsters, etc.
